FLASHBACK to 21st February 2009 and the 2008/2009 season, 2nd placed Cliffe FC first team travelled to Market Weighton to play a side they smashed 11-2 in the reverse fixture! Whilst the scoreline only read 1-0, this match turned out to become part of Cliffe FC folklore with funny and memorable incidents.

FLASHBACK to Valentine's Day 2009 when due to late postponements, Cliffe FC held a exhibition match which saw two Cliffe FC XI's face each other. Strangely enough this exhibition between the two Cliffe teams didn't even take part at Oxen Lane, it in-fact was played at Thorpe United's ground instead.
